Water and Sewer Department update December 7. 2005

The new City Water department truck is now in service and will be seen at work soon after a few necessary accessories are installed.  The City had a water main break near the school building under construction.  It was a typical cold weather break and there was no connection between the work being done and the water main.   Water meter readings are now being taken and they will be about one day late because of the severe cold weather. 

The light snow indicates that the new dog park is getting lots of use.  I can see that the park has had many visitors by the many dog tracks in the snow.  I appreciate everyone who is using the park for cooperating and keeping everything tidy.

We have hope of showing off our new K-9 “Oz” at the park but we are going to need warmer weather.  I haven’t met Oz, but I understand he is a real charmer and he will be a wonderful asset for the City of Oregon.
