The scenic City of Oregon Illinois is nestled along the Rock River at the intersection of Illinois Route 64 and Illinois Route 2. Oregon is a city located in Ogle County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 4,100. It is the county seat of Ogle County.

SNOW ORDINANCE
Water and Wastewater Manager Dave Kent would like the public to know the following:
Just a heads up from the City's Water Department. We were recently asked from a home owner about an insurance policy offered to them which covers their water service line. The coverage is probably on the up & up however people should know that here in Oregon they own their water line all the way to the main and not just to their water shut off in their yard. This is different than most towns. I called HomeServe and they told me that they only cover from the property line in to the home. Any street repairs etc. will be the cost of the homeowner which is the most expensive part.
